Wayne O. Essency, 89, of Meriden, loving husband of Lucy Ann (Marosz) Essency, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home, Monday, May 16, 2022.

Wayne was born in Presque Isle, Maine, May 21, 1932, a son of the late Leo and Geneva Essency and had been a longtime Meriden resident.  Wayne was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and had been employed as a truck driver for J.R. Cristoni Inc. in Wallingford and The Carabetta Companies of Meriden.

In addition to his wife Lucy, he is survived by his son Michael Essency and his wife Kathryn of Meriden; several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his sister Rose Buck; and his brother Edwin Essency.
