Wanda M. Heroux, 90, of Meriden made her journey to be with the angels and reunite with her late husband, Arthur W. Heroux, Sr., on Sunday December 3, 2017, surrounded by her family in the home she loved. Wanda was born in Meriden on November 9, 1927 the daughter of the late Adam and Mary Zuilkowski of Meriden.

She will be held in loving memory by her sons Michael Heroux, Mark Heroux (Nilva) and Arthur Heroux (Kate); granddaughters: Kelley and Natalia; great grandsons: Sevren and Eugene; her sister Mildred Naszcyniec of FL along with her godchild, Carolyn Carter and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers: Walter, Alfred, Edward and Henry Zuilkowski and recently her dear friend Ann.

Wanda was a devoted parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church and graduate of St. Stanislaus School. She retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in North Haven after 25 years as a blade inspector and then analyst. Wanda was a happy member of the Sunshine Club and enjoyed an occasional bus trip to the casino.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday December 9th at 9:15 a.m. from the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday December 8th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home.
