Virginia (Burgio) Maskell, formerly Virginia Czapla, 79, died on Sunday July 21, 2013 at MidState Medical Center. Born on November 26, 1933 in Waterbury, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Josephine (Tirendi) Burgio. Virginia grew up in Waterbury before moving to Meriden. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church. Virginia worked as a Nurses Aid for many years. She was a loving and kind woman who enjoyed taking care of others. Virginia is survived by her daughters: Donna Kaiser and husband William of So. Meriden, Sharon Kubek and husband James of Wallingford, Cynthia Kapustinski and husband John of the Milldale section of Southington; a brother Frank Burgio and wife Joan of Waterbury; 6 grandchildren: William and Robert Kaiser, Laura, John, and Bryan Kapustinski and Lisa Chipman and 8 great grandchildren: Michael, Jocelyn, Mila, Meagen, Brenden, Ileanna, Rasco, Angelique and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Frank Czapala and her brother Michael Burgio.
