Victoria "Vicki" Augustine, 90, daughter of the late John and Sophie Ruchela Pass died after a brief illness Saturday July 27, 2013 at the Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford. Born March 4, 1923 in Meriden, she attended local schools and was a lifelong resident of Meriden. Also a lifelong parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church, she was a member of its Sunshine Club. Vicki was a member of the Better Breathing Group of the MidState Medical Center of Meriden and of the Tuesday "lunch bunch", friends who regularly met and maintained their special relationships. Vicki is survived by her three daughters: Janet (Barry) Baston of Meriden, Carol (Dom) Passarelli of the Dominican Republic and Sandy (Russ Lacava) Jenkins of Meriden. She also leaves two grandchildren: Jessica (Colin) Giblin and Miranda Baston; five great grandchildren: Jason Ventura, Morgan Giblin, Olivia Giblin, Gianna Volo and Niko Volo; and several nieces and nephews all whom she loved as much as they loved her. Vicki was predeceased by two brothers: Stanley Pass and Frank Pass, a sister Cecilia Agnes Lacz and a grand daughter Wendy Jenkins. Victoria Vicki' taught her daughters many life skills but most importantly human kindness, caring, thoughtfulness, manners and most importantly love. To know her was to love her. With the heart of a saint, she was truly the best mother anyone could hope for.
