Thomas E. Herold Sr., 78, passed away peacefully on Monday November 19, 2012 at Apple Rehab Coccomo after fighting a long courageous battle with Diabetes and Dementia. He was the husband of Marie (Prunotto) Herold, his beloved wife of 53 years. Tom was born on January 17, 1934 in Stamford, CT the son of the late John and Phyllis (Burr) Herold. He was a graduate of Stamford High School. Tom proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a longtime resident of Meriden and was employed as a lithographer for Colortone in Branford from where he retired after many years of service. Tom was a member of the American Legion and the Elks Club. He was an avid New York Giant and Yankee fan. Tom was a loving husband, father, Boppy and friend, known for his great sense of humor, he will be greatly missed. Mr. Herold is survived by his son Thomas E. Herold Jr. and his wife Nandra of VT; two daughters: Lorraine C. Robinson of Meriden, Denise A. Putnam and her husband Dan of Meriden; a sister Ann Klumac of Stamford; three grandchildren: Joel Robinson, Kara Robinson, Justin Ingrum all of Meriden; many nieces and nephews and his faithful canine companion, "Roxy". He was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters. His family would like to thank the staff at Apple Rehab Coccomo for the devoted care given to him.
