Thomas W. Boland, 88, died January 18, 2012 at Skyview Center. He was the husband of Shirley (LeHeirssier) Boland, his loving wife of 64 years. Born on September 9, 1923 in Meriden, he was the son of the late William and Willimena (Priede) Boland. Thomas attended local schools and was a police officer for the Meriden Police Department. He was a fan of the Boston Red Sox, professional boxing and reading the daily newspaper comics. Thomas also enjoyed traveling especially to New Hampshire. Mr. Boland is survived by his son Thomas H. Boland and his wife Rhonda of NC; his five daughters: Rosemarie Dziados of Bristol, Linda Smith of Meriden, Patricia Cusimano and her husband Anthony of Meriden, Deborah A. Boland of Meriden and Tammy L. Methvin and her husband Robert of Meriden; a sister Lorraine Casseralla of Southington; 23 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Margie Carabetta.
