Theresa
Dmuchowski
Jul 7, 1927 — Oct 26, 2021
Meriden
Theresa Pisarz Gosztyla Dmuchowski, 94, of Meriden, died at her home on Tuesday October 26, 2021, after a brief illness. She was a strong willed, independent woman, who lived a simple life to the fullest right up to the very end. Theresa was always there for others, doing whatever she could to make people smile, laugh and forget about their troubles.
A lifelong resident of Meriden, she was the 9th child of Stanley and Agnes Pisarz. Theresa was loved by her large family. She was predeceased by two brothers Benny and Teddy, and six sisters Mary, Grace, Anne, Millie, Stacia and Irene. Theresa is survived by her younger brother Henry Pisarz and his wife Audrey of Titusville, FL. She was the wife of the late Anthony Dmuchowski, whom she devoted her life to taking care of during his 10 yearlong battle with a terminal illness. Later in life, she was married to the late Theodore Gosztyla.
As a single parent for many years, her greatest JOY came from her involvement with her two daughters and their families. Theresa lived for and through them. She is survived by her daughter Linda Roberts, her husband Keith, their son Kyle, his wife Tiffany and their two sons Karson and Trent all of Glastonbury; her daughter Nancy Salamites, her husband James of Meriden, their son Bryan of Wallingford and their daughter Jamie Ramos, her husband Rafael and their children Ben and Lily of West Hartford. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Theresa was a devoted parishioner of St Stanislaus Church. Over the last 20 years she was a dedicated Eucharistic minister, funeral attendant to the priest, and a reader and prayer guide at the 12 noon Polish Mass. If you did not know her from her large family or church activities you might have from her time socializing at Dunkin Donuts on East Main St., Meriden. Up until the Covid virus closed down inside seating, "MOTHER THERESA", as Theresa was lovingly called, was a daily customer. If her dark turquoise El Dorado Cadillac was parked out front, you knew her smiling face was inside ready to greet you and make your day. Many people, young and old, looked forward to her laugh, her jokes and the love that she shared. Theresa will be greatly missed.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, November 13th at 10:30 a.m. from the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday morning November 13 th from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home.
