Theodore J. Lapuc, Jr. 88, of Madison, loving husband of Theresa Dolaczynski Lapuc for 61 years, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2018 at Apple Rehabilitation Center in Guilford.

Theodore was born in Meriden on May 24, 1930, a son of Theodore and Stephanie (Smitana) Lapuc.

Ted, as most knew him, graduated from Meriden High School 1948, a member of Future Farmers of America. He joined the US Navy in 1950 and trained as a Pharmacist's Mate. He went on to serve in the Korean War on the USS Waldron from 1952-54. Upon returning, he attended Cheshire Academy and the University of Connecticut, School of Pharmacy. He worked as a pharmacist at Graber's Pharmacy, owned Doyle's Pharmacy and finished his career at Warner's Pharmacy having helped others for several decades.

Ted was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church (Meriden) and later St. Margaret's (Madison). He was a fan of UCONN men and women's basketball and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Ted enjoyed crossword puzzles, international travel and loved reading about history and cultural anthropology.

In addition to his wife, Theresa, he is survived by his only son, Stephen and daughter-in-law Amy; his sisters, Virginia Sattler and Anita Celella; his granddaughter Skyler and grandson Zarley and many nieces and nephews. Ted was predeceased by his brothers Henry, Alfred, Robert (Bob), and his sisters Helen Biafore, Francis Grieco, Lucille Powers, Anna Isyk.

His funeral will be held on Thursday January 3rd at 9:30 a.m. from the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on January 3rd from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home.
