Theodore (Ted) G. Kronenberger, 86, husband of Linda Cari Kronenberger, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2014 at the MidState Medical Center. Born Feb. 23, 1928, he was the son of the late John and Agnes Sunday Kronenberger. A local painting contractor, Ted was former president of the Meriden Humane Society, where his great love for animals and their care shone brightly. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church, active there as an usher and collector. A son of Polish immigrants Ted was very proud of his heritage. He was always a well dressed and properly groomed gentleman in public. He fished, he made special spaghetti sauce and he had the feeding of his backyard winged visitors to a science. Besides Linda, his best friend and wife of 32 years, Ted leaves two brothers, Thomas and John; four sisters, Florence Saviteer, Adelaide Agard, Dorothy Eremita and Barbara Vosgien; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant son, Steven; a brother, Walter; a sister, Rose Heck; mother-in-law, Katherine Cari; and his brother-in-law, Robert Cari.
