Theodore F. Karsmarski, 99, beloved husband of the late Stacia C. (Skowronek) Karsmarski, died Tuesday December 16, 2014 at his home in Groton, CT. Born in Meriden on October 19, 1915 he was the son of the late John and Victoria (Sweider) Karsmarski. A longtime resident of Meriden, Ted attended local schools and was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII in Germany as a CW5. Ted was employed by the United States Civil Service Commission as a military warehouse officer. He was bandmaster of the 102nd army band. For many years he served as an organist at St. Stanislaus Church playing at weddings, funerals and other special occasions. Ted is survived by his two sons: Richard D. Karsmarski and wife Deborah of North Stonington and James R. Karsmarski and wife Deborah of Rocky Hill; six grandchildren: Stacey, Heather, Courtney, Tracey, Alison, Lyndsey; 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph and sister Isabelle.
