Syed T. Asghar, 83, of East Lyme, CT., passed away, Monday, May 11, 2026 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, New London.  He was the husband of Razia Tabassum. 

 Syed was born in Pakistan, April 16, 1943, a son of the late Syed Asghar Ali and Syeda Irshad Begum.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother Syed Sher Asghr, his sister Fatima Sherasghar and his sister-in-law Susan McMaster. 

 Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 13, 2026.  A graveside service was held in Gardens of Peace Cemetery, Cheshire.  Arrangements were entrusted to the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden.
