Susan (Carabetta) Hicinbothem, 73, loving wife of Robert Hicinbothem Sr., passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, October 15, 2023 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden.

Susan was born in Meriden, October 22, 1949, a daughter of the late Ralph Carabetta and Helen (Wnuk) Carabetta and had been a lifelong Meriden resident.  She was employed as the secretary for many years at St. Stanislaus School in Meriden and was later employed by the ARC of Southington and most recently, Big Y.

In addition to her husband Bob, she is survived by her three loving children, Robert Hicinbothem Jr. and his wife Christina, Heather Hicinbothem and Kevin Hicinbothem; two cherished grandsons Thaddeus and Grayden Hicinbothem; and her faithful four-legged companions "Rocket" and "Tatum".  She was predeceased by her brother Ralph Carabetta Jr.,

Susan's family will receive relatives and friends at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. in the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, Friday, October 20, 2023.  Interment will be private in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Meriden.  In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Susan may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
