Stewart F. Anderson, Jr., 87, beloved husband of the late Mary (Bower) Anderson, died on Thursday August 28, 2014 at Highlands Health Care Center in Cheshire. Born on June 11, 1926 he was the son of the late Stewart F. Anderson, Sr. and Elizabeth Anderson. A lifelong resident of Meriden, Stewart attended local schools and was employed by Ulbrich Steel Special Metals, from where he retired. He proudly served in the United State Navy during WWII. Stewart was an avid NY Yankee and NY Giants fan. He is survived by his children: James F. Anderson and Ellen J. Messina; two grandchildren: Erin Rourke, Mary Ellen Anderson and his great granddaughter Sierrah Hallock all of Meriden. He was predeceased by his son Stewart T. Anderson.
