Stacia C. Karsmarski, 90, beloved wife of Theodore F. Karsmarski, died Wednesday January 8, 2014 in the presence of her family at the Ledges in Groton, CT. Born September 9, 1923 in Poland she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine Skowronek. She was a long time resident of Meriden and was the school secretary and a teacher at St. Stanislaus School. Stacia was an active member of the Polish Falcons, the Washington Fife and Drum Corp and a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church. She worked with ceramics, painted, enjoyed the outdoors including frequent visits to Vermont and was a competent home gardener and landscaper. Besides her husband Ted, Stacia was survived by her two sons: Richard D. Karsmarski and wife Deborah of North Stonington and James R. Karsmarski and wife Deborah of Rocky Hill; six grandchildren: Heather Howley, Stacey Coleman, Alison Mejias, Lindsey Karsmarski,Tracie Johnson, and Courtney Giles, 10 great grandchildren Ethan, Julia, Nora, Maddox, Mason, Camden, Lily, Tessa, Nicholas and Nathan, and several nieces and nephews.
