Shirley E. Boland, 84, beloved wife of the late Thomas W. Boland, died Sunday November 25, 2012 at Skyview Center in Wallingford. Born on January 18, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Sally (Guest) LeHeirssier. Shirley was a lifelong resident of Meriden. She attended local schools and was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church. Shirley enjoyed traveling to Vermont and New Hampshire with her husband during the fall to see the foliage. She liked to crochet and loved gardening especially growing flowers. Mrs. Boland is survived by her son Thomas H. Boland of NC; her four daughters: Linda Ryan and her husband Nelson of Meriden, Patricia Cusimano and her husband Anthony of Meriden, Deborah Boland of Meriden and Tammy Methvin and her husband Robert of Meriden; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her four brothers: William, Albert, Walter and Robert LeHeirssier and her sister Elaine LaPointe.
