Sharon K. DelBene, 64, died on Wednesday October 7, 2015 after a courageous battle with various illnesses at MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of David J. DelBene, Sr. her beloved husband of 41 years. Born on January 31, 1951 in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Kathleen (Vescio) Dombroski. Sharon was a longtime resident of Wallingford and a parishioner of the Church of the Resurrection. She was employed as a CNA for many years. Sharon enjoyed reading, playing cards, bingo and taking trips to the Casino. She had a love of animals. A loving wife, mother and sister, her family will always remember her as being a fighter, feisty and fun person. Sharon will be greatly missed. Besides her husband Sharon is survived by her son David J. DelBene II of Wallingford; her daughter Melissa of Wallingford; two sisters: Gail Ondy of Bridgeport and Barbara Roberge of CA and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her two cats: Wilbur and Sasha and two dogs: Mr. T and Mr. Miagi. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday October 21stth from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden. Burial will be private.
