Rosemary (Baird) Demers, 84, formerly of South Meriden, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 11, 2025, at the Atrium of Rocky Hill.

Born in Meriden on March 18, 1941, Rosemary was the daughter of the late Floyd L. Baird and Josephine (Bakaj) Baird. She was a lifelong resident of Meriden and worked for many years at J.C. Penney until her retirement.

Rosemary was a quiet and reserved soul who found her greatest joy in the company of her grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Mimi." She loved them more than anything and was endlessly supportive, always encouraging their creativity and imagination. She also had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and in her free time, she enjoyed going to the movies.

She is survived by her two children, Michelle Demers and Rafe Demers and his wife Catherine; her beloved grandchildren, Terry Conyers Jr., James Conyers, Julian Demers, and William Demers; her brother, Robert Baird; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Floyd L. Baird Jr.

Funeral services and inurnment at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Meriden will be private.
