Rose M. (Naples) Swabski, 90, beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Swabski, died Monday May 7, 2012 at the Curtis Home. Born February 17, 1922, the youngest of five sisters, she was the daughter of the late Gavino and Rose Naples. Rose was born on her Mother's birthday, thus becoming her namesake. A life-long resident of Meriden, she attended local schools and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Her Dad, Gavino, helped to physically build the Church. Rose was employed by The International Silver Co. and later the Napier Co., from which she retired in 1983. A loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Rose loved time spent with her family. Mrs. Swabski is survived by her daughters Sharon Varney and her husband James of Meriden, and Kate Naples of CA; a sister Anna Mrozowski of Meriden; four grandchildren: Christopher Pollard, Matthew Pollard and his wife Irlanne, Nicole Rose Albrycht and her husband Jason and Alexander Naples Dardick; two great grandchildren: Chase and Ryder Albrycht; two step great grandchildren: Ruben Hernandez and Felicity Berrios and many other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her two great grandsons: Trevor Pollard, Haiden Albrycht and three sisters: Josephine Naples, Lucy Siniscalco and Grace Ryan.
