Rose G. Rhoades, 93, beloved wife for 56 years of the late Robert Rhoades, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Midstate Medical Center.

Born on June 16, 1925 in Meriden, CT, she was the daughter of the late Domenick and Maria (Circosta) Galluzzo. Rose was a lifelong resident of Meriden and a parishioner of Our Lady Mount Carmel Church. She enjoyed cooking and eating. Rose was very artistic and talented in needle point, knitting, ceramics and especially in oil base painting. She was an avid Jeopardy watcher and a NY Yankees fan.

Rose is survived by her brother, James Galluzzo of Brewster, NY; her sister, Carmel Harrison of Stratford, CT and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers: Sam Galluzzo, Joseph Galluzzo; brother-in-law Kenneth Harrison and two sisters-in-law: Judith Galluzzo and Valerie Galluzzo.

Her funeral will be held on Friday August 3rd at 10:30 a.m. from the Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden when the funeral cortege will proceed to Our Lady Queen of Angels, Our Lady Mount Carmel Campus, 115 Lewis Ave., Meriden for a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday morning August 3rd from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home.
