Rose (Klaja) Miller, 92, passed away on May 24, 2015 in MidState Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Charles Miller, her beloved husband of 58 years. Born on June 27, 1922, Rose was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Golumba) Klaja. After graduating from St. Stanislaus School she helped raise and support her many siblings. Rose was a truly beautiful person inside and out. She became Miss Polish Connecticut at nineteen and was rewarded with a trip to NYC. Rose became a well loved caregiver and nanny in NYC, where she met her future husband Charles. She enjoyed traveling with her family. Rose was the consummate wife, mother, homemaker; she tended to very productive flower and vegetable gardens, cooking and baking. She was an avid NY Yankee fan. Rose especially adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren; always showering them with love and apple pie. Mrs. Miller is survived by her son Kenneth Miller of Upstate NY; her daughter Diane Connolly (Brian) of Stratford; two grandsons: Matthew Connolly (Mary Ann) of NJ, Brian Connolly (Kerri) of FL; four great grandchildren: Melissa, Matthew, Shane and McKenna Connolly and four sisters: Jennie Gatzen, Veronica Pimentel, Mary Luf, Barbara Hubbard. She was predeceased by her son Donald Miller. Her funeral will be held on Friday May 29th at 10:30 a.m. from the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, for a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Wallingford.
