Obituary

Ronald F. Barillaro, 79, beloved husband of the late Mildred (Klimczak) Barillaro passed away on Monday September 21, 2015 at Englewood Community Hospital in Florida. Born on July 14, 1936, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Katherine (Marcantonio) Barillaro. A longtime resident of Meriden; Ron attended local schools and was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church. He was employed as a supervisor for the United Parcel Service from where he retired after 30 years of service. Upon his retirement Ron spent the winter months in Florida. He liked to dance, entertain family and friends, and travel with his Special Love. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren whom he cherished. He was a class act. Mr. Barillaro is survived by his Special Love Florence Scott of FL; his daughter Jeanne Rocha and her husband Damian of Cheshire; his son Ronald Barillaro, Jr. of Meriden; a sister Sandra Story and her husband Robert of Kensington; a sister-in-law Jeanne Ingham of Meriden, three grandchildren: Nick Barillaro, Michael Barillaro, Jonathan Rocha and several nieces, nephews and cousins. His funeral will be held on Wednesday September 30th at 9:15 a.m. from the Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Joseph Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday evening September 29th from 4:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. at the Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home.
