Roberto Alonzo, 75, of Meriden, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Gaylord Hospital. He was the husband of Rafaela (Moreno) Alonzo. Born June 10, 1939 in Arecibo, PR, he was the son of the late Eladio and Carmen (Diaz) Alonzo. Roberto was a parishioner of St. Rose Church. In addition to his wife Rafaela, he leaves three children: Roberto Alonso Jr. and wife Awilda of W. Palm Beach, FL, Vivian Alonso-Rosa and husband Frank of Meriden and Judith Alonso-Surita and husband Jorge Luis of Green Acres, FL; four grandchildren: Roberto Alonso III, Daniel Alonso, Noel Marcos Surita and Miranda Antonia Rosa and one sister Julia Santiago of Brooklyn, NY. He was predeceased by a sister Juana Roman.
