Regina M.
Magnani
Oct 14, 1956 — Dec 3, 2023
Meriden
Regina Magnani passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 after a short term illness, due to her physical disability of adult onset Genu Valgum.
She leaves her sisters Christina of Cheshire, and Camille and her husband Wes Hatch of Wallingford and Westbrook, her fur niece & nephews Rosie, Carlito, & Shadow.. She was predeceased by her brother Louis "Muzzy", her mother Rose (Coppola), and father Anthony, and her best friend and fur niece whom never left her side Gracia. Regina was a proud member of Mensa (taking the test at age 14 and being excepted), through Mensa she was one of the first who tested out NASA space camp before it was open to the public. Gina had worked locally in Mt. Sinai Hospital, Meriden Memorial Hospital in which she named the Medi Quick logo many years ago, Natchaug Hospital, Sharon Hospital, in New York and Boston. Gina also has worked and lived in many other places the last in Cheshire where Regina resided with her sister Christina who took loving care of her in her last years. Regina was a beautiful lady with intelligence beyond belief. She knew the answers to any question you asked her. This took her far in her work. Regina worked as a private medical consultant from 1985-2000 flying and living short term in over 48 states. Regina loved traveling and working. Gina was a Specialist in the Translation of Government Medical Information; translating it into laymen terminology and was Senior Medical Editor at United Health Care, her name is seen in the many books she wrote from 2000-2020. Sadly, this was her last job before leaving due to her illness. Gina graduated from Mt. St. Joseph's Academy, attended Quinnipiac University and graduated from Skidmore College. Bright and beautiful shall be our everlasting memories of her. Our sister is now with Mom, Dad, and Louie. But I'm sure she is happy and in less pain now even though we will miss her dearly, we will meet again. We love you Gina more then you will ever know. "I've got a name And I carry it with me like my daddy did But I'm livin' the dream that he kept hid. Movin' ahead so life won't pass me by…And I'm gonna go there free Like the fool I am and I'll always be I've got a dream; I've got a dream. They can change their minds but they can't change me, I've got a dream, I've got a dream".
The funeral will be private at the discretion of the family. There will be no calling hours. We also thank the staff at Complete Care Meriden for the excellent care they took of her in her final months. Memorial donations in memory of Regina can be made to the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Ave, Meriden, CT. 06450.
