Regina Franciszkow, 81, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died unexpectedly on Thursday October 12, 2016, at Hartford Hospital.

Born on April 25, 1936 in Poland, she was the daughter of the late Ivan and Zofia (Iglatowska) Skobelev. Regina was a longtime resident of Meriden since 1988. She was a member of the Polish First Baptist Church in New Britain.

Mrs. Franciszkow is survived by her two sons: John Brodowski and his wife Orzel of Germany, Vladyslav Brodowski of Germany; two daughters: Halina Lukoszek and her husband Zbigniew of Meriden, Aldona Sokolowski and her husband Darek Sokolowski of Germany, a brother Bogdan Skobel; seven grandchildren: Alexandra Grimm, Lucas Sokolowski, Ronald Jablonski and his wife Amanda, Mario Jablonski, Nina Jablonska, Ewelina Karsky and her husband Greg, Dominika Colburne and her husband David; six great grandchildren: Camryn R. Jablonski, Kassie J. Jablonski, Yana E. Karasky, Frankie Colburne, Richard Grimm, Henry Colburne and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Ryszard Brodowski, second husband Stanley Franciszkow and her sister Janina Mazur.
