Phyllis R. Sroka, 93, beloved wife of Henry T. Sroka died peacefully December 24, 2014 at the Miller Memorial Center. She and Henry were married for 57 years. Born in Bristol, CT on May 10, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Cyprien and Frances (Dutkiewicz) Guzowski. Phyllis was educated in Bristol and Terryville schools. She was a resident of Meriden for 50 years and a long-time parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church. She was employed as a machine operator by Ilet Specialty of Wallingford, retiring after 20 years of service, Mrs. Sroka is survived by her son Henry T. Sroka Jr. of Holden, MA; three grandsons: Jonathan Sroka, Matthew Sroka and Zachary Sroka. She was predeceased by her son Robert Sroka.
