Pauline A. Shemkovitz, 94, beloved aunt, died on Thursday October 30, 2014 at Avon Health Center. Pauline, the youngest of nine children was born in Meriden, February 10, 1920 to the late Bernard and Rosalie (Michalski) Shemkovitz. Pauline having graduated from the Meriden public school system went on to business college to further her education. She became an independent and successful businesswoman. She was an avid golfer, loved her dogs, and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her friends and family. She was a very loving and devoted sister and aunt, and will be deeply missed by family and friends. Pauline is survived by her devoted and loving family; great niece and husband Naomi (Shemkovitz) and Sebastian Ciarcia and her children Seth, Rachel, Stephen, and Noah, nephew Edward B. Shemkovitz and wife Etoile, and several other nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by four brothers and four sisters, Edward Shemkovitz, Adolph Shemkovitz, Bernard T. Shemkovitz, Paul Shemkovitz, Adelia Shemkovitz, Caroline Shemkovitz, Helen (Shemkovitz) Dorgan, and Elizabeth "Bette" (Shemkovitz) Redford.
