Patricia A. (Zilly) Niemiec, 85, of Meriden, loving wife for 58 years to the late William J. Niemiec, Jr. passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Southington Care Center.

Patricia was born in Meriden, July 3, 1937, a daughter of the late Christopher Zilly and Emma (Katt) Zilly and had been lifelong Meriden resident.  She was a graduate of Meriden High School, Class of 1955 and had been employed by the Veteran's Memorial Hospital and Masonicare until her retirement.  Patricia was a member of the Junior Women's Club of Meriden, an avid reader, enjoyed knitting and visiting the Connecticut Shore.

Patricia is survived by her three sons: Paul Niemiec and his wife Lynn of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Jay Niemiec and his partner Donna Cole of Meriden, Kurt Niemiec and his wife Kim of South Windsor; her daughter Chris Hendrickson and her husband Andy of Meriden; a sister-in-law, Gloria Potrepka of Plantsville; nine grandchildren: Elizabeth Niemiec Kromer and her partner Jules Martin, Wesley Niemiec, Emily Niemiec and her partner Nate Louf, Ryan Niemiec, Jonathan Niemiec, A.J. Hendrickson and his wife Mia, Anna Hendrickson, Kate Niemiec, and Jake Niemiec; three great grandchildren: Zachary Kromer, Jordan Niemiec, Aidan Niemiec; many cousins, nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two sisters Kay Calvanese and Sis Hughes; and two brothers Jack and Bill Zilly.

The family would like to thank her friends and staff at The Orchards in Southington for their love and support.  They would also like to thank the staff at Southington Care Center for the wonderful and compassionate care given to Patricia.
