Norbert T. Fahey Jr. ,91, husband of 66 years to Nancy J. (Kamenoff) Fahey, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 22, 2021.

Born August 12, 1930, in Meriden, CT, he was the son of Norbert T. and Anna (Angiletta) Fahey. Anna, (Nina to all of us), cherished Norb as he watched over her for years as she gracefully aged well into her nineties.

Norb was Meriden through and through, attending Meriden schools and graduating from Meriden High in 1948, before graduating from Fairfield University in 1953.

He spent his entire teaching career in the Meriden school system, having a positive impact on thousands of students and athletes. The majority of his career he was a History teacher at his beloved Maloney High School, beginning with the opening of the school in 1959. He spent countless hours coaching on the basketball court and baseball field, as well as a few hours each Spring working on his tan in the football tunnel. He certainly did bleed Green & White!

In retirement, "Nibs", as many referred to him as, could usually be found in his "Coaches" seat at the Cup and Saucer, tanning in his backyard, or golfing with Zaj & Tex.

In addition to his wife Nancy, he is survived by his children: Tom (Cathy), Rick (Dawn), Ken (Dawna), Diane, and Dave (Lisa). He is also survived by his grandchildren: Alyssa (Dave), Jenna (Chris), Jon, Jaclyn, Sarah (Ryan), Sam, Kevin, Seanna, and Cameron, as well as six great grandchildren: Frankie, Adam, Charlie, Grace, Connor, and Logan.

Services will be private and there will be no calling hours. Please remember, if there is beer and sunshine in Heaven, and the Sox are still beating up on the Yanks, Norb is at peace!
