Obituary

Natalie (Kielbasinski) Poppel, 83, of Meriden, CT, passed on to life eternal on Sunday September 2, 2012, at Hartford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 19, 1929 in Meriden, she was the daughter of the late Karol and Valeria (Kniezinski) Kielbasinski. A long time resident of Meriden, Natalie was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church. She was employed as a supervisor at SNET from where she retired after 38 years. Natalie enjoyed travelling to such places as Hawaii, New Orleans and Spain. She was an avid reader and loved going for walks with her dog Rembrandt. Natalie was a volunteer for the Reading Buddies Program in Meriden Schools and the Meriden/Wallingford Civitan Club. She will always be remembered for her love of her family, her faith, her kindness, her generosity and her fun loving spirit. Natalie leaves behind her three brothers: Bernard Kielbasinki with whom she resided, Raymond Kielbasinski, Sr. and his wife Mary all of Meriden, CT and David Kiel and his wife Vicki of Kensington; a sister Corinne K. Brown and her husband Mickey of Clinton as well as a sister-in-law Elizabeth Kielbasinski of Meriden; her two god children: Karen Young of San Diego, CA and Nathaniel Brown of North Attleboro, MA; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and her beloved dog Rembrandt. She was predeceased by her brother John Kielbasinski and nephew Dr. Thomas Kiel MD.
