Danbury
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Michael Mathieu, 61. Michael passed away on December 13, 2022, surrounded by loved ones after his courageous battle with cancer.
Michael grew up in Meriden and played football at Francis T. Maloney High School. He carried his athletic talents to the softball field where he avidly played on various teams throughout much of his adult life. Michael was competitive at most things including golf, pool, and darts. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees fan, always wearing a baseball hat representing his teams.
Michael always enjoyed trying new things and experiencing adventure, so it wasn't a surprise when he purchased his Harley Davidson bike several years ago and found his love for riding. He was the kind of person that always wanted to make others laugh. He combined his passion for food and bringing joy to others by cooking delicious meals to share in the company of family and friends.
Michael was predeceased by his father Donald Mathieu. He is survived by his fiancé Linda Tarallo, his children; Jennifer Mathieu, Jessica Conroy, and Michael R. Mathieu, his mother Theresa Mathieu, siblings; Lori Evangelista and her husband Michael, and Donald Mathieu, Jr.
