Melinda "Mina" Earley Steele, 47, died unexpectedly on Friday January 8, 2015 at Hartford Hospital with her loving by family by her side.

B orn on July 16, 1968 in Meriden, she is the daughter of Dawn E. (Saunders) Earley and the late Martin C. Earley. A lifelong resident of Middletown, Melinda worked as a bookkeeper for Stormwater One in Meriden.

Melinda is survived by her children David C. Steele and his wife Julia of Terryville and Jacqueline M. Steele of Middletown; four sisters: Sheri, Crystal, Dawn, Allanah; her cherished granddaughter Kaylee Steele; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday evening January 13th from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and attend her funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at the Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden.
