Maureen R. Papallo, 65, passed away on Tuesday May 8, 2018 at Masonicare after a long illness.

Born on May 31, 1952 she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Gertrude (Mordarski) Papallo. A lifelong resident of Meriden, Maureen was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church. She was a graduate of Mercy High School. Maureen was a gifted athlete who excelled in gymnastics and swimming. She worked as an RN for Yale New Hospital for 25 years. Maureen was also a skilled piano player and flutist. She played the flute for the Meriden Falcons Fife & Drum Corp. Maureen enjoyed ballroom dancing and participated in many competitions. She also belonged to several dance clubs. A loving daughter, sister and aunt, Maureen will be greatly missed.

Ms. Papallo is survived by her brothers: Kevin Papallo of Meriden, Jeffrey Papallo of Newington her loving caregivers throughout her illness, her brother Mr. and Mrs. David Papallo of Middlefield and their children Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Papallo, Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Glazewski and several great nieces and great nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Monday May 14th at 9:30 a.m. from the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday morning May 14th from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home.
