Maryann (Filipowicz) Stearns, 80, died on Friday, December 30, 2016, in Bangor, Maine.

Maryann was born in Meriden, on December 10, 1936.  She was the daughter of the late Alexander and Ann (Kaplinski) Filipowicz.  Ms. Stearns worked for Fiserv Co. until moving to Maine to be with her beloved daughter and grandchildren.

Maryann is survived by her daughter, Deborah Michaud, of Orrington, ME; three grandchildren: Allen (Jessica) Mertz, Timothy (Devyn) Mertz and Michael (Jesse) Mertz; four great grandchildren Caleb, Cameron, Logan, and Michael, all of Eddington, ME; her sisters: Joan Drauss of Wallingford, Sandy Guest and her husband Raymond, Betty Kalmick and her husband Wayne all of Meriden; two brothers: John Filipowicz and his wife Marilyn, James Filipowicz and his wife Sandi all of Royal Palm Beach, FL and she also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday January 14, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. and attend her funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St. Meriden, CT 06450.
