Mary D. Zajac, 96, of Meriden, beloved wife of the late Theodore F. Zajac, Sr. passed away on Tuesday November 22 at Miller Memorial.

Born on May 1, 1920 in Middletown, she was the youngest daughter of the late John and Mary Kolman. Over the past years Mary was employed at the International Silver Co. and later Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Corp. In North Haven Mary was also a licensed realtor and worked for several local Real Estate Agencies. A loving wife and mother, Mary put the health and happiness of her family above all else. She was an excellent cook and her homemade meals were prized by everyone who had the good fortune to sit at her table. Mary was also a skilled cake baker, her unique decorative cakes were sought after by family and friends for the holidays and special occasions.

Mrs. Zajac is survived by her three children: William Zajac of East Haddam, Theodore F. Zajac, Jr. of Wallingford, Gary Zajac and his wife Karen of Wallingford and two grandsons: Timothy and Jeffrey Zajac both of Wallingford and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters.

Her funeral will be held on Monday November 28th at 10:30 a.m. from the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
