Obituary

Mary B. Weronik, 98, beloved wife of the late Michael S. Weronik, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 19, 2018 at Miller Memorial.

Born on August 4, 1919 she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Rose (Gortek) Jastrzemski. A lifelong resident of Meriden, Mary was a graduate of Meriden High Class of 1937 and worked as an inspector for New Departure Hyatt Division of General Motors. She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister for 20 years and a lector. Mary was a member of the Sunshine Club, Rosary Society, Ladies Guild, Sacred Heart Society, St. Theresa Society, Meriden Council of Catholic Women and the PWA Group 552.

Mrs. Weronik is survived by her sons: Peter Weronik and his wife Linda, Michael Weronik, daughter-in-law Patricia Weronik all of Port St. Lucie, FL; her sister Vera Bundock of Meriden; five grandchildren: Michael, Steven, Robert, Kyle, Luke; six great grandchildren: Christina, Dominic, Stephanie, Rachel, Charlotte, Phillip all of Port St. Lucie, FL and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Richard Weronik; four brothers: John, Frank, Stanley and Walter Jastrzemski and three sisters: Ann, Helen and Florence.

The family would like to thank her care givers especially Joanne and the staff at Miller Memorial Community for the excellent care given to Mary.

His funeral will be held on Thursday May 3rd at 9:30 a.m. from the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday evening May 2nd from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home.
