Mary Ann (Zolnik) Kumkowski, 89, beloved wife of the late Joseph R. Kumkowski, passed away peacefully on Friday December 7, 2018, with her daughters by her side at Hartford Hospital.

Born on September 3, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Victoria (Gostyla) Zolnik. A lifelong resident of Meriden, Mary Ann attended local schools and was a devoted parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church. She worked for the Carabetta Company for the past 45 years. Mary Ann enjoyed playing the lottery, cards, working on crossword puzzles and especially bingo. She was an avid reader and liked to take trips to the casinos. A loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, she will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Kumkowski is survived by her three cherished daughters: Karen Anderson (Dennis, predeceased) of Bristol, Pam Tanguay (Paul) of Seminole, FL, Mary Ann Tanguay (Russell) of Cromwell; a sister Ann Hartig (Don) of Spring Hill, FL;  6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and her dear friends from the 7pm Group at Victoria Towers. She was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday December 11th at 9:15 a.m. from the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad Street. Meriden when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Middletown. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday evening December 10th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home.
