Mary (Gudelski) Kirchner, 94, beloved wife of the late Thomas E. Kirchner died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday December 31, 2012 at MidState Medical Center after a brief illness. Born on October 4, 1918 in East Berlin, CT she was the daughter of the late Walter and Czeslawa (Janisko) Gudelski. Mary was a longtime resident of Meriden. She was the co-owner and store manager of her family's business, the Quality Bakery and Doughnut Shop in Meriden from where she retired after 46 years. Mary was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church, a member of its Ladies' Guild and a member of the Catholic Women's Club. She was an avid bingo player at St. Stan's and a fan of the UCONN Women's basketball team. Mary was a kind woman who cherished spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by seven loving and caring nieces and nephews to whom she was like a second mother: Trudy, Patty, Joe, John, Lenny, Regina and Scott. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; her great grandchildren; extended family and four step children: Patricia, Carol, Donna and Tom. She was predeceased by her five brothers: Boleslaus, Stephen, Alexander, Zygmunt and Stanley Gudelski; her sister-in-law and best friend Sophie Gudelski; her nephew James Gudelski and her step daughter Diane.
