Mary (Ostasiewski) Hulford, 61, passed away quietly in her home on Tuesday May 30, 2017. She was the beloved wife of the late John (Jack) A. Hulford, her proud marine with whom she spent many wonderful years of marriage. Now they are reunited, caring and loving each other again. Her loss is of great sadness to her family and friends.

Born December 19, 1955, Mary is the daughter of Sophie V. (Lyszaj) Ostasiewski and the late Albin A. Ostasiewski. A lifelong resident of Meriden, she attended local schools. Mary had a wonderful connection with nature. She loved God's creatures especially birds and furry friends. She nourished all that were frequent guests in her backyard. Mary enjoyed the change of seasons and always looked forward to artistically decorating her home in the appropriate seasonal themes.

Mary is survived by her daughter Melissa (Hulford) Hartenstein; two grandsons: Kyle and Kameron Hartenstein all of Meriden; a sister Kathleen Cameron and her husband Thomas of Middletown; a nephew; Scott Cameron; a niece Amy (Cameron) Clark and her husband Doug and two great nephews: Thomas and Ryan Clark.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 6th at 10:00 a.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden. Burial in the State Veterans' Cemetery will be private. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday morning June 6th from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home.
