Mary B. Bukowski, 95, beloved wife of the late Leo J. Bukowski, Sr. died on Saturday November 9, 2013, at Valerie Manor in Torrington with her family at her side. Born August 11, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Stacia (Mierzejewski) Duchnowski. A lifelong resident of Meriden, Mary was a graduate of Meriden schools and a parishioner of St. Joseph Church. She was a member of the St. Joseph Rosary Society and the Meriden Council of Catholic Women. Mary was very proud of the more than twenty years she volunteered at Meriden Wallingford Hospital. Mary was an avid bridge player, knitter, bowler and traveler. She and Leo traveled the world and with Leo's passing Mary continued her travels. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be missed ever so much. Mrs. Bukowski is survived by her daughter Lenore B. Murphy of Torrington; five grandchildren: Ann Murphy, Sean (LeeAnn) Murphy, Shannon (Richard) Denver, Jeanelle (Eli) Ricca, Jeffrey Bukowski and eight great grandchildren: Patrick, Andrew and Bridget Murphy, Lily and Laurel Denver, Liberty, Chance and August Ricca. She was predeceased by her son Leo J. Bukowski, Jr., three sisters: Helen Duchnowski, Ann Hepple and Genevieve Clark and brother John Duchnowski.
