Marie Woznicki, 85, beloved mother of Ted, Anthony and Melanie, died on Sunday January 11, 2015, at the Meriden Center. Born June 27, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Walter and Laura(Burzynski)Zawadzki. She was a long time resident of Meriden and a parishioner of St. Joseph's Church. Marie is survived by two sons: Ted Woznicki and his wife Nancy of Torrington and Anthony Woznicki and his wife Elizabeth of Wallingford; a daughter Melanie Woznicki of Meriden, six grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren and several nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers: Stan Zawadzki and Anthony Zawadski. Her funeral will be held on Thursday January 15, 2015 10:30 a.m. from the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Joseph's Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Meriden. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday morning January 15th from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home.
