Marcia Louise (Belden) Shields, 71, of Meriden, was called home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.

Marcia was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, September 11, 1951, a daughter of the late Allen Belden and Lois (Osborne) Belden and had been a Meriden resident for many years.  She was a 1969 graduate of Francis T. Maloney High School and was employed as a manager for local McDonald's restaurants for over 40 years until her retirement.

She is survived by her loving children Scott (Tressa) Shields, Dean (Sarah) Shields, Katie Shields (Richard Valentino), Ian Shields (Jaclyn); 8 cherished grandchildren; her sisters Lynne Bowen, Karen (Peter) Grabiec; and her brother Rick Belden.

Marcia's family will receive relatives and friends at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Monday, July 24, 2023 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.  The funeral service and interment in Walnut Grove Cemetery will be private.  In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Marcia may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.  For online condolences visit:  www.meridenmemorialfh.com
