Manuel Israel Cardona, 68, beloved husband of the late Luz Cardona, passed away on Friday January 17, 2014 at MidState Medical Center. Manuel was from Aguada, Puerto Rico and had lived in Meriden for the past 50 years. He was known for his sense of humor and sarcasm. Manuel was a very lovable and generous man who was loved dearly by everyone. Mr. Cardona is survived by his daughters: Seire Cardona-Esquilin and Gynora Cardona both of Meriden; two precious grandchildren: Jialana and Jadiel Cardona-Esquilin; his daughter-in-law Mayra Esquilin; eight brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved as his own children.
