Louise (Barillaro) Mezzanotte, 97, beloved wife of the late Pasquale Mezzanotte, died Monday April 4, 2016 at Apple Rehab Coccomo with her family by her side.

Born on May 31, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Rose (Valentino) Barillaro. A life-long resident of Meriden she attended local schools. Louise was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church throughout her life and was a member of the Mount Carmel Society for many years. She also was a member of TOPS and AARP of Meriden.

Louise is survived by her son Thomas Mezzanotte and his wife Linda and her granddaughter Stephanie Mezzanotte-Floody and her husband Justin all of Meriden. She was predeceased by four brothers:  Joseph Barillaro, Salvatore Barillaro, Fred Barillaro and George Barillaro; four sisters: Marie Barillaro-Letteri, Emma Barillaro-Lecuyer, Carmel Barillaro-Pepe and Loretta Barillaro-Lestorti-Beckett; and a granddaughter Danielle Mezzanotte.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday April 7th at 10:30 a.m. from the Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home, 450 Broad Street. Meriden when the funeral cortege will proceed to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, 2324 East Main St., Waterbury. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday morning April 7th from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home.
