Lorraine R. (Delesdernier) Biernacki, 97, loving wife for 63 years of the late Daniel I. Biernacki, passed away peacefully, Friday, November 8, 2024 at Twin Maples Health Care Facility in Durham.
Lorraine was born in Meriden, November 3, 1927, the daughter of the late Edwin Delesdernier and Viola (O'Day) Delesdernier and had been a lifelong Meriden resident. She will be remembered for her love of family, friends, and for her interests in crafts, attending fairs, knitting and crocheting.
She is survived by her four children Shelley Jackson and her husband Ted, Gail Edgington and her husband Dave, Daniel Biernacki; and Thomas Biernacki and his wife Ann; five grandchildren: Jeremiah Jackson, Heather Borak and her husband Brian, Zachary Jackson and his wife Molly, Michael Edgington and his wife Nicole and Dawn Biernacki-Morello and her husband Kenneth; 8 great grandchildren: Emily Cabanas, Madilynn Borak, Eric Edgington, Brendon Borak, Kyle Edgington, Tessa Merchant, Sloan and Ian Jackson. She was predeceased by her brother Edwin Delesdernier.
Lorraine's family will receive relatives and friends at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 5:30 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Lorraine may be made to Twin Maples Recreation Department, 809 New Haven Road, Durham, CT. 06422.
