Obituary

Lorin L. Trombley, 67, entered into eternal life on Thursday August 11, 2016 at MidState Medical Center. He was the husband of Rose Marie (Waite) Trombley, his loving wife of 50 years.

Born on July 8, 1949 in Ellenburg, New York he was the son of the late Amos and Florence Trombley. A longtime resident of Meriden, Lorin managed Sperry Enterprise. Most important to Lorin was his family, faith and friends.  He cherished spending time with his grandchildren.  He had a passion for cars and NASCAR racing, being a former racecar driver himself.  A beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother he will be greatly missed.

Mr. Trombley is survived by his son Chad J. Trombley and his fiancé Louise Bravo of Bethany; his daughter Cristy Marie Godbout of Middletown; four cherished grandchildren: Chantalle, Branden, Shania, Shyann; four brothers Alan Trombley (Caryl), Rolland Trombley (Bonnie), Leslie Trombley (Georgie), Leon Trombley (Janice); five sisters: Angela Nephew (Dale), Linda Fifield, Mary Cordaro, Alva Benware (Richard), Winifred Frennier (Arthur); ; numerous nieces and nephews and many loving friends. He was predeceased by his two sons: Joseph and Eric Trombley; a brother Amos Trombley; two sisters: Rose Nelson, Nancy McRoberts; his brother-in-law Dale Fifield and stepfather Kenneth Waite.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian burial on Thursday August 18th at 10:00 a.m. directly at St. Joseph Church. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden.
