Kathleen D. Roberts' Obituary
Kathleen D. Roberts, 96, passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 15, 2016 surrounded by her family at Apple Rehab Coccomo.
Born on May 4, 1919 in Wallingford, she is the daughter of the late William and Jane (Gracey) Doyle. Kathleen was a longtime resident of Meriden and parishioner of St. Joseph Church. She was employed as a nursing assistant at Meriden Wallingford Hospital from where she retired. Upon her retirement she also worked for the JC Penney Company. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother she will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her three sons: William Roberts and his wife Eileen of ME, Doyle Roberts and his wife Donna of Meriden, Thomas Roberts of Meriden; two daughters: Kathleen Celentano and her husband Robert of Southington, Maureen Mottola of Meriden; fourteen grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters: Marjorie Paddock and Marietta Seach.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Apple Rehab Cocomo for the excellent and compassionate care given to Mrs. Roberts.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday April 2, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church . Burial will be private. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, CT. To send an online expression of sympathy please visit www.smithruzzofuneralhome.com . In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Kathleen Roberts may be made to the Children's Hospital of your choice.
