Katherine Lopez, 70, beloved wife of the late Pablo Lopez died Saturday March 4, 2017 at Apple Rehab Coccomo, surrounded by her family and friends.

Born on March 2, 1947, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Mary (Sczurek) Gibney. Kathy was a lifelong resident of Meriden. She attended local schools and worked as a hair stylist. Kathy owned and operated Kitt's Cutting Corner. She was a devoted parishioner and Eucharistic Minister of St. Stanislaus Church.  Although Kathy was the birth mother of only one son she was a mother to so many more.  Always putting God first and instilling the importance of God and always doing the Right thing in all of the children's lives. Her son, Steve Lepack says she was the Greatest Mom anyone could ever have.

Kitt is survived by her loving son Steve Lepack and his wife Susan of East Hartford; three grandchildren: Steven C. Lepack II, Haley Staples and Emmalee Staples; five Godchildren: Esther Fetzik. Betsy Roldan, Kimberly Roldan, Stephanie Roldan, Kathy Roldan and compadre Osvaldo Roldan; a niece Rosana Panjon, two grandnieces: Giada Panjon and Gabriella Espinosa; cousins, Susan (Gibney)Callahan, Irene Dubay, Aunt Ann Gibney, Laurel Franke and Jessica Bray-Carrero; longtime friend for over 55 years, Anna Andrews and her best friend Donna Reynolds.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian burial on Thursday March 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
