Katharina H. Mayer, 93, of Meriden, entered into peaceful rest, Saturday, December 24, 2022.

Katharina was born in Immenhausen, Germany, February 19, 1929, the daughter of the late Gustav Hobein and Martha (Weppner) Hobein.  Katharina immigrated to the United States of America in March of 1959 and has been a Meriden resident for over 60 years.  She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Meriden, the Meriden Turner Society and Hostelling International U.S.A.

She is survived by her son-in-law Frank Stellato of Meriden; her grandson Michele (Michael) Stellato of Florida; her nephews Uwe, Bernd, and Rainer Hobein of Germany; and also many dear friends in Germany, Africa, Austria and the U.S.A.  She is predeceased by her daughters Dorothea Dolle and Elisabeth Stellato; her son Robert D. Mayer; and her brothers Fritz and Willi Hobein.
