Josephine Rose Miller, 100, beloved wife of the late Robert E. Miller died on Monday November 23, 2015 at the Meriden Center.
Born on June 28, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Galuzzo) DeMaria. A lifelong resident of Meriden, Josephine worked at International Silver from where she retired and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She was a member of Amaranth, Daughters of the Nile and Eastern Star Past Grand Worthy Matron for the State of CT. Josephine enjoyed traveling all over the US with her husband.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her daughters: Judith Wrobel and her husband Alfred Sr., Valerie H. Cousino all of Meriden, Mary Beth Gosse and her husband Leonard of FL; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Sharon Plunske; 2 brothers: James and Peter DeMaria; 3 sisters: Theresa Biamonte, Jean Petro, Amelia Grant; her grandson Alfred Wrobel, Jr. and her first husband Joseph H. Handel.
Her funeral will be held on Monday November 30th at 10:30 a.m. from the Smith-Ruzzo Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden when the funeral cortege will proceed to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
