Joseph S. Zaorski Sr., 93, loving husband for nearly 72 years of Angeline (Carino) Zaorski, peacefully entered into eternal life, Monday, February 7, 2022 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden.

Joseph was born in Meriden, April 1, 1928, the son of the late Marcel and Stasia (Nalewajek) Zaorski and had been a lifelong resident.  He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. and had been employed by New Departure until his retirement.  He also loved playing golf.

In addition to his wife Angeline, he is survived by his two daughters Sharon (Stanley) Gonska and Elise Zaorski; and his daughter-in-law Louise.  He is also survived by his six loving grandchildren Heather (David) Bruce, Kari (Edward) Gilberti, Kristi Gonska, Brent Gonska, Maegen Gonska Alyssa (Nick) Tumolo; 6 great grandchildren Tyler, Madison, Emma, Grayson, Amelia, Cameron.  He was predeceased by two sons Marcel and Joseph Jr., and his sister Mary Misiorski.

His family will receive relatives and friends at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Saturday, February 12, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., when the funeral procession will proceed to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish) in Meriden, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m.  Interment with military honors will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.  Gifts in memory of Joseph may be sent to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
